Kinda Cranky
I woke up kinda cranky today and I did not want to exercise, but I knew that a little session of ttapp would not hurt me and may even lift my mood. So, I doned the necessary clothing (step 1), set up the tv and dvd player (step 2), and popped open the dvd drawer....this is where I have to decide, commit, make a choice about what I want to do (step 3). I looked over all the exercise dvd's I have collected and the one that seems to GIVE me energy and wash away the "crankies" is t-tapp. I decided on the 18 minute basic workout (same as yesterday) with a 12 minute "Leslie walk". Oh, and by the way, I feel better....

Hey!... Its a Miracle!
Now, don't get too excited...I am just really glad I exercised and blogged about it all in the same day! I was getting a little lazy about it (blogging). I will admit it is so much better to get it done in the morning and not have to worry about it for the rest of the day and night. I did ttapp basic plus tempo series, it is an 18 minute workout, so I added a 12 minute walk to it, making it a slim and trim 30 minutes!

Its All Downhill From Here!
I used to focus on the "countdown of days to go" for my project and lately when I have been signing on to The Julie/Nancy Project, I haven't really glanced over at that little window off to the right. Today I noticed I am getting close to 100 days! In about a months time, plus 9 days, I will be entering the last 100 days! It is unbelievable to me I have gone this long exercising. Even when I was on the swim team in my youth, I did not swim EVERY day! I felt much better today going after a ttapp total workout again and I sailed right through it. That workout is amazing!

Total T-Tapp Tuesday...
... oh my goodness....it was tough, no lie! I haven't done a total ttapp in about a week and I felt sluggish and rusty. My body was starting to feel achy and cranky and I did not want to endure a 55 minute workout. But, I forced myself to do it and boy am I glad I did! I feel so much better and I think my day at work will be much better because I feel energized!
Lazy Monday
Here I am playing catch up again. I think I sit around too much in the morning trying to wake up, sip my coffee and watch the morning news. Then comes Regis and Kelly and, by then, I should be in my exercise clothes and turning on the dvd player....should be... Dooit Later has come out of hibernation and taken up residence. I did t-tapp 18 min to tempo (speeded up) and flat stomach dvd which rounded me up to 30 minutes....speaking of rounding up....I have eaten banana chocolate chip muffins lately like I have been on an island for 39 days...they are homemade, and a Weight Watchers recipe....but still...3 a day?

Sunday...Walking in the Dark
It is Sunday nite, and I am playing blog catch up. I really should not be so lazy about blogging. I used to be lazy about exercising, but what is so hard about typing a few words about it? Maybe it is the typing, because I am not so good at it. It is probably more the "discipline" of doing it, having to think of things to say about how I took care of my health today...Tonight my husband and I went for a walk in the dark around the neighborhood. After Bible study ended at 9 pm I went and got my shoes and announced "we" are going for a walk! "NOW?....in the dark?" he replied, "sure why not?" she said....and so they went.... I think you walk faster in the dark, either because it is dark, or because it is cold, or....maybe it is a combination of both.
Saturday...
Jumped up out of bed in the morning ready to go for a walk outside around the neighborhood. I had gone to sleep knowing that I did not fulfill my 30 minute requirement on Friday and so I was ready to get back to the original plan of at least 30 minutes of exercise! My husband went with me and we went in between Spring rain showers. It was fun and I made him walk backwards for one whole street! It works different muscles and we had a race...well, at first I said it was not a race but toward the end I made it into one because I was ahead...
Friday...
Waited again to workout...I went to Deb's house to introduce her to T-Tapp and we worked out doing the basic 15 minutes and then I would pause it and talk about each move and the correct form. I don't know if it all amounted to 30 minutes of a workout, I highly doubt it, but I waited fully until midnite to see if I was going to chip in and do some more exercise to make it a full legal 30 minutes and as it turned out I just didn't care! I tossed and turned a little in bed as there was a raging war between "Do-it" and "Don't". I can't really beat myself up over whether or not it was 30 minutes of exercise, because it was EXERCISE!, plain and simple, I did exercise! So, I move on and I exercise everyday, it is still a project, it is still better that not doing it at all.

Bend it, Tuck it, Lift it...
I t-tapped for at least 30 minutes. I had to get 2 dvds replaced from my first order because of them glitching. I recieved the new ones yesterday so I excitedly put one in this morning and got halfway through it and I got stuck in a bend it, tuck it, lift it position...waiting for the glitching to stop! I put up with it for all my patience could take, and then I called T-Tapp...again!....aaaaarrrgghh
Tuesday...
I had an appointment for a haircut and color at 9:15 am....I climbed on my stationary bike at 8:30 am.....rode until 9:00 am....jumped in the shower...threw on some clothes....and drove like the wind (with-in limits, of course...) arrived for my hair appointment at 9:16! ....talk about waiting to the last minute!

Monday...
Today was a ttapp total workout day and I went thru the instructionals to make sure my form was correct for some of the moves. I did a good workout full of sweat and now I am ready to start my day! It is going to be a warm day in the 70's and full of sunshine...I can't wait to go to work and sit all day in front of a computer screen....woo hoo!
Sunday...
Yesterday, after Church, we took my parents out to the Northern Quest Casino for a Sunday Breakfast Brunch Buffet to celebrate my Dad's 84th birthday (it's actually today, Monday). It was so delicious and, of course, I ate waaaay beyond full...I ate to misery. Have you ever eaten to misery before?....you know what happens after that?...food coma....I went home and slept all afternoon. After, I emerged from the coma, I waited until 11 pm and decided to exercise out some of the results of overeating...I did a 30 minute walk while I watched the evening news.
Saturday...
I am blog deficient,... I have blog lag. I hope I can remember what I did....oh, I remember!....I waited until 11 pm on Saturday nite and had an audience again, my son and his girlfriend. She could not believe I was going to exercise that late at night. I had done quite a bit of walking on Saturday while I was out shopping....I was looking for a calendar for 2010 and I believe I went to about 10 stores. I was about to give up all hope when I stopped at Appleway Florist and Greenhouse where I had heard they were giving away free FTD flower calendars. They managed to scrounge one up from the back room and after a long hard day of shopping I had convinced myself that was going to be my exercise for the day...until my guilty conscience got the best of me and I did a ttapp total workout, ending at midnite!

WOO HOO!....
....another sunshiny day and 70 degrees! It sure is a joy in the morning to watch the goldfinches on my feeder right outside my kitchen window, they are as bright yellow as the sun and always a cheery site for my eyes! I did the ttapp 15 min basic plus workout and she moves along at a good little clip! I will go out for a walk today! I can't resist the warmness....

Another Sunshiny Day!
Another gorgeous day of Spring like weather. The goldfinches have returned to the bird feeder, and it is time to mow the lawn...I'll get my husband right on that! I did the total ttapp workout today. I will do it everyother day until I drop into a size 9-10 or die trying. On the everyother other days, I will do the ttapp 15 min basic and walking... have a sunshiny day! =)

Sunshine!
Today it is beautiful outside, sunshine and birdies singing, buds on the trees, greening grasses, blue skies and a healthy me! I did a 3 mile walk today inside....why? because I can get a better workout walk with arm movements and knee and leg lifting than I can just walking outside. I did miss doing ttapp today,... maybe tonight when I get home I can do the 15 minute basic and get my "fix"...

I Don't Need An Audience Either!
I workout in the morning and my son had a late start to school today so I waited till he left at 9am to take his girlfriend to breakfast. I did not expect them to come back to the house after they ate so I put in the ttapp total workout (55 min) and "sure nuff" they came back right in the middle of it. As I faced the tv set and "tuck-tucked" they were sitting on the couch staring at my sweaty butt and making comments about how "lame" the dvd is...I threatened to back my sweaty butt up into their face and they screamed and hollered!... it only quieted them for a few moments....who needs hecklers when they exercise!?...I don't understand the "nerve" of an "exercise heckler"....it is so easy to sit on the couch and exercise your mouth...

Sweaty At Bedtime
Its Sunday nite and I went out to my parents house to visit and mostly because I wanted to give my Mom a tappcore workout dvd that came in the mail. It is the sitdown version of ttapp because my Mom can't stand very well (bad knees and balance). We both tried it together and she seemed excited to try something new and it seemed like it was going to give her a decent start to some type of fitness. She wants to have knee surgery performed in June while my sister is visiting and we need to help her lose some weight before that time. I stayed until 9 pm then came home ate salad and chicken, did a ttapp total workout to tempo! Now, I am all sweaty at 11:45 pm and its bed time....

Saturday and Day 13
I did not quite a ttapp total workout. Cindy came over for a Second Saturday Sewing Session and we did our tapping together. We did at least 30 minutes but not quite 55! There was lots of stopping and phone call interruptions, but I did manage a sweat somehow, as we were in our blue jeans. Hoedowns were a whole new challenge with sweaty legs in denim...

Tap, Tap, Tapping....
What day is this of my Bootcamp anyway? I really do not know...day 12 I think. I did the total workout intermediate which was 10 reps instead of 8 and more form emphasis. I am making a better body and I can't wait to drop another clothing size! I ordered some alphalfa capsules from Better Body Basics, I am not sure what they are supposed to do for me, but they stink! and I have a feeling if I take them I will be burping and tasting alphalfa...

They Weren't Kidding
I have heard all my life, "all you need to do is eat right and exercise"....they weren't kidding. It turns out they were right after all! Ha!...who knew?!? Eating healthy AND exercise have to go together, like hand and glove, peanut butter and jelly. I have tried one with out the other, mostly dieting but not exercising. and this time I decided I would try it the other way around....exercising without the focus on the diet, and for the most part it has worked...BUT, I found that "sweat equity" plays a part in the decision of what to stuff your face with and it has really forced me to think about it. I find that most of the time I am choosing fresh foods and whole grains without preservatives, if I can, although you have to go farther and pay more sometimes. Occasionally, I will eat "out of character" and jump off the deep end, but I usually regret it for the next few days, as my pants are the barometer! But hey, whats life without a few m&m peanuts now and then??!!

Bootcamp Day 10!
Today was a ttapp total workout day, 55 minutes, and I am serious about the "butt-tuck"...Keep that butt tucked all the time. I wonder if I could stand for 55 minutes in the ttapp stance...knees bent, butt tucked, shoulders back, chest up, knees toward little toe....I'll have to try it one day when I have 55 minutes to stand like that in one spot...I can't wait for the workshop I have set up May 15th, I hope everyone comes with an open mind. I know some will like it and some will not, but thats the way it is with everything,... even with chocolate...

Bootcamp Day 9
I have been doing the ttapp total workout for 9 days now and I still love it 100%. It will be hard to back off and only do it every other day! I started out yesterday with my God made foods and did ok with what little fresh food I had in the house until I got home at 9pm....I felt hungry and went for some God-made nuts to munch on but it was ina trail mix and it was hard not to grab an m&m chocolate in the package with the nuts.....which ultimately lead to more chocolate (it was Easter just yesterday!!)...and I ate half of a LARGE bag of m&m peanuts. My goal was to eat as many as I could and get sick on them but it didn't work!!...oh well, another God Made Day!

Eat Fresh!
Total workout, 55 minutes of ttapp. I still feel full today and I will wait until I feel hungry today before I eat! Problem is....I need to grocery shop for fresh foods before I can eat! ...I may have an apple somewhere in the back of the fridge....

Easter Sunday
OH my aching stomach! I over ate today and the day before and I am feeling the effects of it tonight. Suddenly it has all caught up with me and I feel ill, tired, sluggish and my stomach feels like I swallowed a cannonball. I am looking forward to eating some God made foods for the next two days! I need to do some grocery shopping and restock the house with something fresh. I had a nice Easter, eating at my sister-in-laws house and the meal was full of all our favorites, ham, cheesy potatoes, green bean cassarole, ambrosia fruit salad, rolls with butter and jam. Of course there was dessert,.. a lovely lemon cake and brownies with vanilla ice cream. I had the lemon cake and it was very moist tangy and delicious! I came home and had a "food coma" nap, popped off the couch at 7pm and did ttapp for 55 minutes, a total workout, before the Amazing Race!.....I hope I feel better tomorrow, but, I hope I remember the feeling that over eating can bring......

Bootcamp Day 6
Yep!....it gets easier day by day! Yep, I still break a sweat... and Yep, it still gets my heart rate up! Yep,... I love this workout, it elevates my mood and I feel energized by it not wiped out! I feel like I have energy to go clean the bathroom and kitchen , vaccum and dust the house, do the laundry and scrub the floors...hhmmm...I hate housework...

Bootcamp Day 5
It was a bizzare morning. It started out ok, very routine, but then all hell broke loose. It always starts right when I get ready to exercise....the phone will ring. It is usually a telemarketer, bill collector, or campaign advertisment...and the phone is ringing right now!...the caller ID says,...Omaha, ME. I don't know anyone who lives there, so, do I answer it? I did my ttapp routine and then the phone rang right after I got to the arm section, it was my son Garrett who just got back from Haiti. He was on the ship the USS Bataan. I stopped to talk to him, of course, I haven't spoken to him for 3 months! Then my sister called from Colorado, and then my husband called about our tax papers....all of this while trying to get dressed and ready for work!

Bootcamp Day 4
Yeah! Bootcamp day 4 and yes it true....day 4 was much easier and 55 minutes did not seem all that long! it definitely was a "break-thru" day. It went smoothly, Of course there was a little "bobbling" now and then on the balance moves and I got to places where I was breathing hard and sweating, but overall, I would have to say that when I finish I have an elevated mood and feel energetic! I don't believe I could say that about any other program. I can't wait to introduce more friends to ttapp, if they give it a chance I know they will see results! I am so happy for my lil "guinea pig".... I can't wait to see the happiness on her face when she starts to see results...
