Boring Bike Part 2

Another rainy day staionary bike ride....boring.... but I did decide I need a new staionary bike, one that will challenge me a little more, programable, garage sale and craigs list,...here I come!

Waiting

I hate waiting unless it is for something good.  Waiting to get your exercise done at the end of a long day is just wrong, criminal, there should be a law against it.  I warn you all now! Start your day with exercise, 30 minutes of it, don't wait, don't put things in front of it, don't kid yourself into thinking you will do it later, don't procrastinate....I speak from experience....I waited until 11:00 pm, again, and did 30 minutes of Pilates with a stretchy band and went to bed.

VTO Tuesday

Another "Brisk" walk around the neighborhood at 7pm.  Who can resist V.T.O. (Volunteer Time Off) from work when the finale of Biggest Loser and Dancing With the Stars was on television?!?  Obviously me...

Mentor Monday

This was a wonderful sunny Monday spent as a personal vacation day from work with my bestie Cindy.  We started our day with a latte and chat, then headed off to do some gardening.  It was not long before we needed some shopping...you know,...seeds and stuff,...electronic soil ph tester,...veggie starts,...fence posts,....oh and last but not least,..a BIG bag of organic soil infused with chicken poop!  After a long day of chatting, shopping and digging we ended with a "Brisk", (at least thats what Cindy called it) 30 minute walk.

Judge Judy

I definitely waited and contemplated, pondered and procrastinated, delayed and deliberated the idea that all my shopping today was a substitution for "exercise".  Thank goodness that I have a third eye and can see that I have a good and evil, light and dark side and the third eye is there to see it all and weigh in as the "Judge Judy".  So, "Judge Judy" layed down the law at 11:00 pm and stated, " This project was set up as 30 minutes of exercise, that means you have to set aside 30 "intentional" minutes of exercise!...so off the couch we rose, all my body parts and me,...50 minutes of Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga.

Boring Bike Ride

You may be wondering how a bike ride could be boring, it was on my stationary bike in my bedroom.  Granted it was in front of a tv, yet, I get kind of bored with my arms moving back and forth, what does that really do for your arms anyway?  I need to drag my "real" bike out of the garage soon and take it for a ride someplace.   This is a really dangerous time of year for me...lots of people are having Garage Sales.  I ALMOST bought a treadmill the other day at a Boy Scout Sale, it was for a good cause, but I could not figure out what room to put it in....maybe when Marshall moves out.....

Snap Crackle, Aaaaahhh......

I did a T-Tapp Tempo workout, the whole enchilada, a total workout in 40 minutes!  I haven't done T-tapp for a week (except for Saturday's workshop).  It felt good to stand in one place with correct spinal alignment.  I think I did my own chiropractic adjustments while doing several of the movements....aaaahh

Keeping Up

I am keeping up with the blogging!,...who knew this would be the difficult part at this stage of the game.  Speaking of this stage of the game I noticed I am nearing the 100 day mark!  I will feel so relieved to see 99 days.  I think I will break out in the song "99 Bottles of Milk on the Wall" and, yes, the word milk was intentional....you all know "milk does a body good"....I wonder if there is a tee-shirt out there with that slogan on it...that would be funny!  Anyway, I did my body some good today, by doing weight loss yoga.

Ta-Dah Tuesday!

Got up early this morning to exercise (that's the ta-dah part) because I had a hair appointment at 9 am and I knew that if I did not" knock it out" this morning I would not want to do it after work tonight.  I am feeling a little stiff and achy in certain places from yesterday.  I decided that today would just be a 2 mile walk and that would be just fine for all the body parts involved!

Marathon Monday

I went out for a walk today and wore my heart monitor and felt like I was going to walk and run for 2 miles.  I would watch my heart rate go up and down and judge the running time and walking time according to the heart rate beats per minute.  However, when I got started I got busy watching the bpm and the time it took for it to go out of range and back into range.  I did my walk/jog in about 25 minutes and I felt pretty good, so I went around again!  Another 2 miles, only this time I did 1 minute of walking and 1 minute of jogging staying strictly to that schedule.  Total distance was 4 miles and it took about 45 minutes.

Survior Sunday

Got up and went to church.  It was puppet Sunday and we had a skit to do for the children.  I came home from Church and contemplated, from the couch, doing my workout.  The consensus was I did not want to break out in a sweat because I wanted to go back in the evening for Graduating Senior Sunday.  It was a special service featuring the teenagers who are graduating from High School.  My son was one of them and he did not want to participate, but two of his friends Sydnee, and Matt, did participate and I went to support them.  It was a little heartbreaking that I did not assemble anything on behalf of Marshall, despite his unwillingness to be there.  I was there and I wished he had made the effort to be there for his friends.  After Church it was time for the season finale of Survivor Heros vs. Villians and Sandra, a villian, won.  This is a 2 hour show including and hour of the After show where they chat about all the awful things they do and say to each other.  When this all was over it was 11:00 pm, and time to exercise!!!!... yeah...I did the total gym and went to bed.

T-Tapp Workshop

This was a T-Tapp workshop in Liberty Lake that I assembled.  It was from 10am-Noon with a certified trainer from Idaho.  It was so much fun and sweaty!  I met some new people and I hope that we can come together again in the future.  It was great to see, in 3-D, the postures used and align my body the same as the trainers.  We had lots of laughter and fun doing a 15 minute workout in 2 hours time.

Friday? I Really Don't Remember

I REALLY don't remember what I did for exercise on Friday.  If I had to venture a guess it was probably a walk.  I know I did exercise, I am positive about that!  I have not missed a day yet!

Thursday Only

Another glorious day here, sunny and warm.  The Spring here is just fantastic and it feels great to be outside especially for exercise!  I did another jog walk special today only I went way past the top of my heart zone and walked down to the middle of my zone.  I think I will re-visit the Metabolic Institute and get re-evaluated for my metabolic rate and see if my heart rate zone could use an adjustment.

Wednesdaythursday

I let another day go by with out blogging....what is wrong here?  Wednesday, I went outside for a walk.  We have been having a glorious week here, 70 degrees everyday and sunny!  I wore my heart monitor so I could stay in the zone and I added a little jogging.  It was a jog walk mix.  I jogged until my heart rate got up to the top of my zone and walked until it came down to the bottom of my zone.  Then I would repeat it all through the 30 minutes,oh!, and I walk jogged backwards down one street....that was challenging!

Finally Tuesday!

I am suffering from bacon cheese burger cannonball syndrome.  I can still feel it sitting there.  I had a hard time waking up today and laid in bed until practically 9 am!  I got up and got involved in watching tv and was not much interested in working out, so I climbed on my stationary bike and watched the last 30 minutes of Regis and Kelly.  I am so glad I have a piece of exercise equipment in every room of the house....and a tv..... I can see how easily you can become a couch potato.

Getting Closer Monday

Ok, I really had a hard time getting this one done.  I went to a softball game and afterward we went to Dairy Queen.  I had the "works", bacon cheese burger, fries, and a French Silk pie blizzard.....oh my, I felt sick and I can still feel the "cannon ball" I swallowed in my stomach and it is Tuesday morning.  I was watching Dancing with the Stars when my friend Cindy called and reminded me of the time when all I had to do was get off the couch and walk in place while watching tv.....*sigh,....she was right....I did.

Sunday! Mothers Day

A nice walk outside felt just right for Mothers Day.  I had to go it alone though.  My husband had obligations at the church, and I invited my son Marshall, but he thought picking wildflowers for me and vacuuming the house was enough to say I am a good mom.

Moving Forward Saturday

I did the total workout again.  It is probably not good to do it two days in a row.  We had done yard work outside and I considered counting the outside work as my 30 minutes of exercise, but it felt like cheating.  So, I waited and debated this into the evening....tick, tock,.....I finally went downstairs and did the Total Gym for 30 minutes.

Going Waaaay Back Friday

I didn't post to my blog but I did workout!  I did the Total Gym, its a good 30 minute routine and it works all the muscles.  It is in a downstairs bedroom and so when people are watching tv in the living room and people are watching tv in the upstairs bedroom.....I can go downstairs and workout, ....without an audience!

Back to T-Tapp

I went back to T-Tapp today and it felt wonderful!  I felt a bit of muscle soreness from my aggressive Cardio Max workout yesterday.  I am not sure if that is a welcome sign or not.  I don't want to "bulk up" with muscles but I want to tone what I have because they burn more calories.  I listened to an encouraging radio interview which I posted to my blog about T-Tapp.  It encouraged me about the way T-Tapp works on the inside with your lymphatic system to help you eliminate wastes and fat, trimming inches from your body.  Give T-Tapp a chance!

Cardio Max

Getting out of bed today was not as difficult as I anticipated!  The Total Gym worked out some soreness.  Today I did Biggest Losers Cardio Max Level One.   I guess I have been wanting to know how the T-Tapp has shaped me up against all the other dvd's I have been doing.  I would have to say my muscles feel stronger and all the squats and lunges actually feel stonger....the cardio feels the same.  I really do not think the T-Tapp addresses the cardio system but it definitely uses the muscular system!

OH MY Aching Muscles!

My muscles are filled to the brim with latic acid from my Total Gym workout and I ache all over the place, in every wrinkle and crease!  I did the total gym workout on Sunday and so tonight I did the workout again .  I hope it works out some of the latic acid from the muscles but I will know tomorrow morning when I attempt to get out of bed

I'm a Cheater...

I have something to confess...I stayed from my T-Tapp workout and did a Biggest Loser workout today.  Maybe I was trying to shock my muscles a little, including my heart rate.  I just did not have the desire to do another "thread the needle", or "hoe down".   So, today I did the Biggest Loser Boot Camp level 1 and it did get my heart beating and it produced lots of sweat!  I wanted to make sure when I wear my new size 10 to work today, they will still fit!  You have to get the "clothes that fit" as you lose weight because slopping around in your larger sizes allows for a sloppy mental attitude.

Mind Body Connection

I made a mind body connection today.  I am still trying to wrap my mind around my new clothing size 10.  I am still shaking my head and trying to adjust.   I keep making execuses and undermining the accomplishment.  For example, the little brat inside my head keeps saying, "Well, you do know that the new size 10 is actually an old size 12, they are making clothing sizes bigger now but tagging them smaller so women can feel good about it!"  I think I will name this little brat "Nasty Nellie".  Today on my way to church I could hear Nasty Nellie chatting away and I decided that my new size 10 is perfect for me because I have 10 fingers on my hands and these are the same 10 fingers that feed my face.  Going past a size 10 to a 12 would not work as I am declaring that my clothing size must not extend past my digit capabilities!  Tonight I put my body through a Total Gym workout (we have one in the basement) and it works on the same principles as T-Tapp using your own body weight as resistance...it felt good and I got it all done in 30 minutes!

Ten

I went shopping tonight for a new bra because I had a coupon for ten dollars off a purchase at Penneys.
It is so hard shopping for a bra, so many styles to try on and it certainly is a process that requires an addditional person.  After I found acomfortable one, I decided to go try on some pants, as I have given away my size 14 dress pants that I wear to work.  I decided that I was definitely a 12 since my 14's were baggy.  I grabbed the twelves and took in a pair of tens, "just in case".  Then I had a head converation in the dressing room and it went like this, "Do I try on the tens first or the twelves?"  "If I put on the tens first and they don't fit, it will be depressing", but, "If I put on the twelves first and they fit or feel a little loose, then I go for the tens and nobodys feelings get hurt!"  You might be able to tell by the title of my blog which ones I ended up buying!......I was soooo happy I came home and did a celebratory 55 min ttapp!
