Flashback to the Sixties
I am totally enjoying a cd I found at my parents house on Saturday. While helping my mom go through some of her things I found 2 cd's "The Classic Sixties Collection 1966, and 1968. I may have to go back and find the rest of the collection! The songs are great and take me back! I was born 1960 and I remember these songs even though I was six and eight years of age. The songs are the original artists... Born To Be Wild -Steppenwolf, I Heard It Through The Grapevine- Marvin Gaye, Chain of Fools- Aretha Franklin, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida Iron Butterfly, and one of my personal favs...With A Little Help From My Friends-Joe Cocker...I did my workout today on the Total Gym and a 30 minute Recumbent Bike ride.... I try with a little help from my friends, It is so good to have Cindy going through this with me...
Sunny Saturday
There is always lots to do on the weekend, errands, finish projects, grocery shop, clean house, garden outside, help your aging parents out and if you are lucky to fit it in, a nap! Well, I only managed about 3 of those on Saturday, ran errands (one was an eye exam), finished my mom's quilt (5 year project) and delivered it and while I was out there helped her move some things around and out to the trash! It feels so great to have that quilt done and off my plate! I have quite a few quilt projects to finish and I am going to work on my sisters quilt next. Her quilt will be easy, it is a smaller lap quilt and I already have some of the blocks completed. I went for a neighborhood walk after I got home from my parents house at 8pm.
