Un-Welcomed Guest
Yesterday I told you about someone new that I met named Dooit Later. It seems that Dooit Later came to visit for the weekend and I hope she is gone by Monday. Dooit Later was not invited, nor did she ask to visit, and if I had my choice she would not be invited back. Do I have a choice? I think Dooit Later is even more evil than Don't. I did go for a walk but, the sun had gone down, and it was cold, but my sister and I went for a walk around Liberty Lake. It seems when there is a schedule to keep Dooit Later is nowhere to be found.

I Met Someone Today...
Today, I discovered Dooit has an evil twin named, Dooit Later. And Dooit Later convinced us this morning we had plenty of time today to fit 30 minutes of exercise in. Well, I finally fit it in, at 9:00 pm I climbed on the resurrected stationary bike and watched the movie, "Gone in 60 Seconds". Watching a movie made the time go by easier. I got it done, just barely, and tomorrow I get to do it again, YEAH!...that excitement was gone in less than 60 seconds...

Bickering Selves
As soon as the eyes open in the morning the bickering starts. My eyes are pretty happy to see daylight and my body is happy and peacefully comfortable in it's soft, warm, comfy spot in the bed, but it annoys us all when the "selves" start up about whether to exercise now or fit it in later. My husband laughed this morning as he could see there was a situation going on, because I was not moving out of bed, "which one is winning", he said, "Dooit" or "Don't". Dooit won.

False Start
I slept in a little today and my body woke up a little cranky. My joints are crying out for glucosamine. I am not at all suprised by this, to go from comfy couch sitting , to activity idiot, is insane. I tried to go for a walk today at around 11:30 and it was way too hot and I was not feeling great. I got 10 min into the routine and headed back to the "barn". I did decide to try again at sundown and it was easier to get the required 30 min of exercise (walking). I saw an ant covered, green apple, jolly rancher and it was a good thing for those ants that it was not my favorite flavor.

Spreading the WORD
While I am on my walks around the neighborhood I often see many interesting things littering the streets. Today, I saw a small orange Bible. It was the kind of Bible they give out to visitors, who come inside a sanctuary to see if they are comfortable in the presence of God, or being in the same place with believers. At first, when I saw this little Bible in the street, I thought to myself it had fallen out of someone's car because it was along the curb in front of the elementary school. As I walked on I discovered a few pages had fallen out and maybe had been blown by the wind onto the sidewalk. It was only a few steps farther that I saw and realized there was a battle with satan being fought within someone. It was the pages that were ripped into pieces that gave it away and the pages that were wadded up into tight little balls of paper. I walked on thinking about this poor tortured person who had this battle going on inside and remembered that I was in the same place, not so long ago, and I thanked God for winning my battle and never giving up on me.

Race Against Time
I knew this day would eventually come. Just 9 days into the project and it happened. It all started with the "selves". One self said, "You don't have to get your 30 minutes in right now. Just have a morning where you don't have to exercise. You can do it later..." I think I will name this self, "Don't". The other self said, " You know you better do it now, if you listen to "Don't", you are never going to fit it in today, if you don't go now, you won't want to exercise at the end of a long day at work!" I will name this self, "Dooit". So, "Dooit" and "Don't" had a long, drawn out, argument this morning and my body just sat there listening, waiting for a decision to be made about whether we were going to exercise for a least 30 minutes. Then the eyes looked at the clock and sided with "Dooit", then my poor body had to engage in a race against time, as out the door we all flew, body complaining all the way about how a decision to go for a walk can't be made in a timely fashion.

Jackpot
I went for another walk today, it sounds kinda boring, it was to start with very dull. It starts like it always does, I get up, put on the same old exercise clothes, ( I only have one set that does not get all stressed out about having to go for a walk) and out the door I go to walk the same old route around the "hood". I've tried walking in the the other direction and it's the same, only backwards. I get to see another angle of the tree, house, or flower bed, (thats a thrill and a half). Since, I found a dime the other day, on my walk, my eyes are mostly scanning the pavement for a slightly higher reward. I would be happy with 25 cents, but today I found a dollar! It was all folded up, and my heart raced as I unfolded it thinking, just maybe, more was folded up inside. It was just a dollar. I would have never seen it had I not crossed the street to avoid getting hit by an oncoming truck who was pulling off the curb, to head off to work. So, all total I have collected, $1.11, for my efforts. Maybe, like Julie, I should set up paypal on my site, and you could all pay me to exercise. I think I'll put the money I found toward my new walking shoes!
